CAPTURE THE LAYERS IN WATERCOLOR PAINTING
Level: Intermediate 5 Week Class Fridays, April 15-May 13 10:30am-1:30pm

This class will explore planning, design and value as well  as the characteristics of light and shadow. You will learn different watercolor techniques including glazing and mixing colors on the paper. Learn how to generate rich dark values and how to layer the paint so that the lower layers shine through. Bring a photographic reference and a sketched piece. Compositions should include shadow shapes. Individual instruction and group critiques are integral to the class.
